Tamarind Tree Hotel (Voluntourism)

Following the passage of Hurricane Maria in the night from Sep 18 to Sep 19, 2017, not only houses, roads, entire plantations, and villages have been badly damaged or destroyed but also Dominica's natural sites and hiking trails.

In an effort to help clear, restore and rehabilitate the only long-distance hiking trail in the Caribbean, the 185km long Waitukubuli National Trail, a community tourism project, we at The Tamarind Tree have adopted Segment 11. In collaboration with the Forestry Division and the Waitukubuli National Trail Management Unit we clear, restore and rehabilitate this segment.
